November minutes were approved.

  • New PTSA secretary, Traci Fallecker, announced.

  • Dr. Sinclair was absent for this meeting.

  • Model UN student rep, Mehar Kaur, presented information on the Cultural Night.  

    • Cultural Night went well.

    • Hoping to get more volume of people to attend.

    • Work with Ms. Vienes to expand the event.

    • Discussed possible incentives for students to attend.

    • Have a bigger raffle which could be a draw to get more students & families to the event.

  • Thrift Store update:

    • 3885 volunteer hours for the month of November!

    • 207,000 or 224,000 total volunteer hours for the year.

    • PTSA member, Claudia Benesch, is now a trained supervisor.

    • There are currently 3 open work sessions.

  • Website

    • Aileen stated that the website should be completed by December 14 with FAQ’s.

    • Teacher, Laura Hoffman, to give us website feedback.

  • Budget: Norman Benesch

    • Increase of $4000 from last month.

    • Total Balance is $31,119.03

  • Fundraising Update

    • Restaurant Night = $420.83

    • Fall Fundraiser = $3765.98

    • Plan to advertise along the pick up/drop off line, Sunday Briefs, Dr. Sinclair’s newsletters.

  • Teacher Appreciation Plan

    • Holiday Gift Cards = 107 needed; at $100/each

    • “Grab-N-Go” pastries and hot coco suggested for the teacher breakroom planned for December 17th.

  • Reimbursement Requests

    • Front Office table to assist with check-in approved

    • More details on the file cabinet requested to “hold” student records as the cost was $1,050.

    • More information about the Robotics Team request & it was suggested for them to look into PTA Thrift shop volunteering.

    • All other requests approved

  • Spirit Night

    • Name change from Spirit Night to Dining for Dollars.

    • Next Dining for Dollars to be held at Carolina Brewery on January 13th 2026.

      • Question as to does it include all day vs. a certain timeframe.

    • How to promote it:

      • Google Classroom, on School TV screens, morning announcements, Dr. Sinclair’s Sunday Briefs, new texts..”Talking Points”, advertise on PTSA website.

      • Find out all the different clubs/sports newsletters to advertise there.

    • Other venues suggested: Al’s Burger Shack, Town Hall Grill

  • Open Items mentioned

    • Need a “Pro-Account”

    • Walgreens gives coupons & “Canva” can create & download to be printed for future prints

    • The school has a poster maker, though not laminated.
